Posted entries to the Fish Short Story and Flash competitions. www.fishpublishing.com
Was longlisted twice for Fish Flash previously.
Currently working on a time-travel piece for Radio 4's afternoon reading. Quite like it so far and think if it's read by the right person on the right day they might accept.
About Me
- Mark
- Determined to earn a living writing, I majored in American Literature at Sussex University in the late '70s. One day I looked in the shaving mirror and a Banker stared back at me. Recovering from the shock, I recently started letting the Writer out on parole. He's having some success, but we won't be giving up the day job just yet.

Revving Up
So, having achieved a runner-up position in the 2010 Biscuit Flash Fiction Contest http://www.biscuitpublishing.com/comp/flash2010.html I'm rethinking my writing strategy. That winning entry was a tongue-in-cheek horror story penned for a WriteWords FF1 challenge sometime back. Importantly I enjoyed writing it. Not genre fiction, but pretty close and a mile away from my more literary efforts.
My rarely upkept 'Pounding The Keys' blog is dead and 'Fiction Hound' is launched. Purpose, to track the direction of my writing, which I intend to be more intense, competitive, commercial and fun.
